The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts very hot and humid weather on Monday during the day over Greater Cairo, and the Delta governorates, very hot weather on South Sinai and Upper Egypt and moderately hot and humid weather on the northern coasts.
The weather will be moderate and humid at night over all parts of the country.
Increased humidity will exacerbate the heat by two to four degrees throughout the day.
The EMA said in a statement that the country has passed the peak of its current heatwave, and now expects a slight decrease in temperatures this week on the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt.

Mists are expected in the morning on some roads leading to Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts.
Light rainfall at a 40 percent chance is expected on Upper Egypt, Red Sea Mountains, and the Halayeb and Shalateen triangle.
Active winds are predicted on Greater Cairo and the northwestern coasts.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2.25 meters in height with northwestern surface winds.
