Very hot air mass hits Egypt: EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) on Wednesday warned of a very hot air mass over most parts of the country.

The weather on Wednesday during daytime will be very hot and humid in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt, hot and humid on the northern coasts, and very hot and humid in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

By nightfall the weather will be moderate and humid in the north of the country, tending to be hot and humid in southern Upper Egypt, South Sinai and most other parts of the country.

Wednesday’s weather will see dust spread during the day in scattered areas of Greater Cairo and the Delta. Weather maps have monitored active winds in areas of the northwestern coasts and South Sinai, especially in exposed areas.

  • Alexandria: 36C
  • Hurghada: 38C
  • Sharm el-Sheikh: 39C
  • Cairo: 40C
  • Luxor and Aswan: 42C
