The US’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released an update of the global map that shows its assessment of the epidemiological situation worldwide, as the latest strain of the virus continues its spread.
The CDC’s assessment includes four levels, with level four posing the highest risk and level one posing the least risk.
In its comprehensive guidelines, the center recommends avoiding international travel until after receiving a full vaccination against the virus.
No new destination from the Arab countries has been added to the fourth level, which indicates that the risk of spread and impact of the pandemic is “extremely high”. This category includes Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Lebanon.
Level three indicates hat the risk of spread and impact of the virus is “high”, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added in its update, Monday, the UAE and Bahrain from the Arab countries, to join Egypt, Libya, Qatar and Tunisia, and Palestine.
At level two Kuwait now joins Comoros and Mauritania from Arab countries.
No new destination was added to the first level category, which indicates that the risk of spread and impact of the virus is “low”. It includes from the Arab countries Oman, Morocco, and Djibouti.
There are destinations with “unknown” risks, according to the classification of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention due to the lack of information about it. No new destination was added to this category in the last update, which included Algeria, Syria, Yemen and Sudan from the Arab countries.
