The US dollar exchange rate witnessed an increase with the beginning of trading, on Monday, after a period of stability against the Egyptian pound. While the price of the US dollar varied in Egypt during trading on Monday morning at the Central Bank of Egypt, government and private banks.
The price of the US dollar reached its highest levels in the last period, and after a period of stability, it returned to rise again against the Egyptian pound, as it exceeded LE 18.93, for the first time in four years.
Tarek Metwally, a banking expert, said that the recent increase in the price of the US dollar is: natural factor in light of global events, because the currency price is linked to the supply and demand.
He added that there is a problem in the currency market in general, affecting the price of the US dollar against the pound, pointing to the consequences of the Ukrainian-Russian war, which causes foreign currencies to hike within any country.
