The US dollar exchange prices were maintained against the Egyptian Pound on Thursday during banking dealings. The dollar has declined by LE1 and 20 piasters since January 2019.
According to the latest updates, the US dollar settled at LE16.65 for purchase and LE16.75 for selling in the National Bank of Egypt (NBE).
The dollar settled at LE16.64 for purchase and LE16.74 for selling in the Commercial Bank of Egypt (CBE).
In the Arab African International Bank (AAIB), the dollar recorded LE16.65 for purchase and LE16.75 for selling.
In the Bank of Alexandria and the National Bank of Greece (NBG), the dollar recorded LE16.65 for purchase and LE16.75 for selling.
Egypt floated the national currency on November 3, 2016. It devalued the Egyptian pound by about a third from the former peg of LE8.8 against the dollar, allowing it to drift lower.
