Dollar prices were stable against the Egyptian Pound on Thursday after the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Bank Misr recorded LE16.23 for purchase and LE16.33 for selling, Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) statistics said.
According to the latest price updates, the dollar recorded LE16.33 for purchase and LE16.23 for selling in the Arab African International Bank (AAIB), the National Bank of Greece (NBG), Blom Bank and Société Arabe Internationale de Banqu (SAIB).
The dollar recorded LE16.36 for selling and LE16.26 for purchase in the Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank), the Suez Canal Bank, and the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK).
In the Central Bank of Egypt (CIB), Alexandria Bank, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK), the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), the Industrial Development Bank (IDB), the Arab International Bank (AIB), and HSBC Bank, the dollar recorded LE16.34 for selling and LE16.24 for purchase.
The dollar recorded LE16.35 for selling and LE16.25 for purchase in al-Baraka Bank, Crédit Agricole Bank, the United Bank, the Export Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE), and Bank Audi.
Egypt floated the national currency on November 3, 2016. It devalued the Egyptian pound by about a third from the former peg of LE8.8 against the dollar.
