Two armed men stormed into a hotel in Hurghada leaving injuries among tourists, Egypt's interior ministry said on Friday.
The attack left two Austrian tourists and a Swedish tourist injured, the ministry added in a statement published on its official Facebook page.
Security forces killed one of the armed men and injured the other.
Reuters earlier reported that "the assailants arrived by sea to carry out the assault."
On Thursday, unidentified gunmen fired birdshot and fireworks at security personnel guarding a hotel in Haram district in Giza, and a tourist bus which happened to be present in front of the hotel at the time of attack, according to the Interior Ministry.
The ministry added that the attack on the hotel left no casualties.
The attack was later claimed by the ISIS-affiliate group “Sinai Province”.
