A large fire broke out on Wednesday at the Cairo International Conference Center in Nasr City, Cairo.
A Health Ministry 40 people were injured in the Cairo conference centre fire, among which 10 have been hospitalised.
The fire affected four halls at the center.
A security source said 21 fire trucks affiliated with the Civil Protection Agency, and 10 other trucks affiliated with the armed forces, headed to the scene in an attempt to put out the fire.
Three armed forces aircrafts flew over the scene in order to determine how big the fire was.
Head of East Cairo prosecution Mohamed Abdel Shafy said a team of prosecutors will investigate the cause of the fire.
Exhibitions and conferences are mainly held at the Cairo International Conference Center, following the demolition of adjacent buildings for exhibitions in the same area.
