Up to 220 new humanitarian aid trucks enter Gaza Strip

An official source in the North Sinai Governorate confirmed that 220 aid trucks carrying relief materials, medicine, medical supplies and fuel entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing border on Tuesday.

The source explained that up to 215 of the trucks carried relief and humanitarian aid, medicines, medical supplies, drinking water, including three fuel trucks and two gas trucks for home cooking.

The Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that 560 planes carrying aid arrived at Al-Arish International Airport since the beginning of the Gaza war, in addition to 51 aid ships provided by 40 Arab and foreign countries and 28 regional and international organizations.

The society stated that 8,820 trucks carrying 133,479 tons of relief aid were delivered to Gaza, including 5,918 trucks carrying 87,670 tons of food, 1,192 trucks carrying 19,521 tons of medical supplies, 1,710 trucks carrying 26,287 tons of relief materials.

The number of Egyptian trucks that entered the Gaza Strip amounted to 2,944 carrying 49,751 tons, it said, in addition to 1,302 trucks from the rest of the world carrying 18,061 tons while international organizations provided 4,574 trucks.
