Up to 142 Palestinians killed within 48 hours in Israeli army’s latest raids in Gaza

The Israeli forces continued their ground invasion of neighborhoods in the Palestinian city of Rafah, and their incursions into several neighborhoods in Gaza amidst air and artillery bombardment.

Up to 142 bodies and 150 wounded arrived at hospitals within 48 hours, while Israeli forces arrested at least 12 citizens from the West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the total death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 39,897 killed and 92,152 wounded since October 7.

 

Arrests

The Prisoners Club and the Prisoners Affairs Authority announced in a joint statement that among the detainees is Yaqoub Kamel Musa Hawarin, who was arrested from the al-Tira neighborhood in Ramallah.

This is in addition to another young man whose injury has not been confirmed, as well as a child from Jericho and some former prisoners.

The statement added that arrests were made in the governorates of Jenin, Hebron, Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Jericho, where Israel continues to carry out wide-scale raids and abuse, accompanied by threats to detainees and their families, alongside the destruction of homes.

Israel’s forces have arrested more than 10,000 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, according to the statement since the start of the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people.

 

Raids continue

In the field, local Palestinian sources said that Israeli artillery shelled al-Zana and Bani Suhaila areas east of Khan Yunis and east of al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, and the aircraft launched a raid on al-Bureij camp in central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes also bombed a residential area in the town of Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.

Various areas of Gaza Strip witnessed intense Israeli artillery shelling without any reported injuries, as the Israel targeted the towns of Bani Suhaila and Abasan, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
