Unstable hot weather predicted Thursday

Chairman of the General Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdelaal expected hot unstable dusty weather to hit the country on Thursday.

He said southwesterly winds are expected to be active, accompanied by dust. Sandstorm is expected in the south, Sinai, the Red Sea governorate and Cairo, affecting visibility on roads as well as navigation in the Red and Mediterranean seas.

He added a significant rise in temperatures ranging from 5 to 6 degrees is expected on all parts of the republic.

A significant drop in temperatures in the north of the country, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt ranging from 6 to 7 degrees and calmer wind are expected starting Friday, according to Abdelaal.

Active wind and dusty weather will continue in the south of the country and Sinai.

The Meteorological Authority called on officials to take precautionary measures, especially in the areas of dust storms.
