UN Secretary-General António Guterres visited Saturday 23/03/2024 a number of wounded Palestinians receiving treatment in Al Arish General Hospital, and listened to their testimonies and stories of suffering due to Israel’s vicious assault on Gaza.
This came as part of the UN chief’s current visit to the Al Arish city in North Sinai to show solidarity with the people of Palestine, and discuss with UN humanitarian workers how to alleviate civilians’ sufferings, before heading to the Rafah Border Crossing.
Guterres is also expected to join a number of Sudanese refugees in a Ramadan breakfast in Cairo where he will also meet a number of senior Egyptian officials, according to a statement by the UN media office in Cairo.
