The UN anticipates that the first shipment of aid to enter Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing will be in the next two days.
The first aid shipment to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing with Egypt will enter by Saturday at the earliest, the UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, announced on Friday.
The crossing on Friday witnessed intense preparations ahead of the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.
About 175 trucks carrying aid have been stationed at the crossing awaiting the entry decision, according to the Al Qahers News website.
On Friday, trucks began lining up at the crossing gate.

Considering statements made by Israeli political leaders and their allies, accompanied by military action in Gaza and escalation of arrests and killing in the West Bank, there is also a risk of genocide against the Palestine people,” UN experts said.
The Israeli military on October 7 declared that Israel was in a ‘state of war’ after Hamas militants fired rockets and sent forces into Israeli territory.
The “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation was a series of coordinated attacks launched by Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip and Israel on Saturday.
