UK Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams has received around 25 Egyptian fashion designers for the activities of the embassy’s initiative “From Egypt…with love’’ and discussed the solutions that would help them to promote their designs in the British and global markets.
Adams said that the embassy’s initiative aims to support Egyptian fashion houses, which seek to expand their business worldwide and create job opportunities.
Egyptian actress and TV presenter Isaad Younis, who is known for promoting the local industry and young Egyptian entrepreneurs, accompanied Ambassador Adams on the stage and welcomed the designers.
The UK embassy said that it has cooperated with the Egyptian Fashion Council, Micha Company, which will launch a website to sell Egyptian designs worldwide, and the British automotive company Morris Garages (MG) in the initiative’s activities.
