Two suspended officers face charges of car theft

Agouza Prosecution ordered the detention of two suspended army officers for four days pending investigations over charges of forming a criminal group specialized in stealing cars.
 
According to investigations, the two officers were suspended months ago for their misconduct. They stole cars in the neighborhoods of Agouza, Qasr al-Nil and Boulaq al-Dakrour. With the help of a third officer, who is now also suspended, they stole luxury cars from car dealerships.
 
Investigations revealed that the suspects were arrested while stealing two cars, a BMW and an Elantra, from a car dealership in Agouza with the help of the third suspended officer who remains on the run.
 
The two officers face charges of theft. The prosecution ordered the arrest of the third suspect.
 
One of the two suspended officers admitted to the crime while the other denied the charges.
