Two citizens were killed and ten people were injured, five of whom were security personnel, Sunday morning in clashes between security forces and residents of Qursaya, Giza in a dispute over a plot of land.
The Armed Forces had set up a bunker on Bahr al-Azzam Street during their deployment in the area, but after they withdrew, local residents began to use the land.
Security forces and military personnel attempted to evict the residents from the land early Sunday morning, but they refused to leave. Following the clashes, residents blocked the street and set tires on fire, paralyzing traffic for three hours.
