Two were killed, one in Sharqiya and one in Nasr City, and seven injured during protests staged by the Muslim Brotherhood on Friday in reported governorates.
Ambulance Authority Chief Ahmed al-Ansary said one was killed in Sharqiya and seven were injured in Damietta during clashes on Friday.
An informed source from Cairo Security Department claimed a boy identified as Belal Sayyed Ali was killed in Nasr City during the clashes, after security troops intervened to free a prison truck that was seized by the group members, who were trying to smuggle prisoners in it.
Unconfirmed photos circulated on Facebook show the young boy Ali lying on the ground with a white-uniformed police officer holding a shotgun and walking away from the body.
The group had staged protests in several governorates, where clashes erupted between its members and the residents.
The source told Al-Masry Al-Youm on Friday that security services are checking photos and videos for the incidents to identify the suspects.
Six suspects involved in the incidents were arrested, the source added.
