Two killed, 36 injured including 24 foreign nationals in tourist bus crash in Red Sea

Two people were killed and 36 others were injured –  including 24 foreign nationals – in a collision between a tourist bus and a heavy-duty trailer truck on the Ras Ghareb–Hurghada road in the northern Red Sea region.

A number of ambulances were dispatched to the accident site to transport the injured to the Ras Ghareb Hospital for treatment and monitoring.

The relevant authorities were notified of the incident.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Red Sea security agencies received a report in the early hours of Thursday morning about a tourist bus belonging to a Red Sea tourism company, traveling from Hurghada, colliding with a heavy-duty trailer truck.

Health officials and the Red Sea Governorate are following up on the incident’s repercussions.
