Two Israelis detained following violent altercation at Egyptian Hotel

The Public Prosecution ordered the temporary detention of two Israeli suspects after interrogating them.

They were charged with showing off force, causing panic and fear among citizens, and assaulting and damaging property at a hotel in Taba. Investigations are ongoing.

On Friday, the Public Prosecution received a report of a brawl at a hotel in Taba involving the two Israeli suspects and three hotel employees.
Following the altercation, the suspects allegedly displayed force, used violence against the victims, and assaulted them, resulting in injuries and damage to the hotel property.
The Public Prosecution immediately initiated an investigation, beginning with a visit to the hospital to question the victims and examine their injuries.
Medical reports confirmed injuries ranging from skull fractures to lacerations. The prosecution also heard witness statements, reviewed video footage of the incident, and examined police reports that corroborated the suspects’ involvement in the assault and property damage.
The dispute arose from a disagreement over the suspects’ and their companions’ entitlement to consume alcoholic beverages, as per the hotel’s regulations.
