Two people were killed and another two injured on Monday in Qena Governorate during a firefight over butane gas cylinders.
According to reports, two families in Nagaa Hammadi's Al-Adaseyya village opened fire on each other following an argument about the distribution of butane gas.
The Interior Ministry said the families were from the Al-Arab and Al-Hawwara tribes. Although the dead and injured were not identified, authorities said they belong to the Arab family.
Nagaa Hammadi's Public Prosecution is currently conducting an investigation after seizing the firearms and ordering the arrest of four suspects from the Hawwara tribe. Authorities also tightened security to prevent further clashes.
