An Interior Ministry spokesperson said Giza security forces were reported on Monday about an improvised explosive material (IED) that exploded while children were playing on the roof of a building on Bishay Street in Imbaba.
The children tampered with the IEDs they found on the roof, of which one exploded and injured two of them. They were taken to hospital.
Explosives experts defused a package containing gunpowder and nails, while prosecutors started investigation into the incident.
