Two army soldiers were killed Saturday when a roadside bomb hit their armoured vehicle at al-Taweel region in North Sinai, a security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
The same source added that the soldiers' bodies have been carried to a military hospital in Arish and are being prepared for transfer to Cairo.
The pair’s death came hours after the Egyptian army said it had killed 31 militants in a security crackdown on militant havens in the peninsula.
