Twitter updates to richer image display

Yesterday, the Twitter platform revealed its enhanced multimedia display on users' timelines.

In the new layout, individual images and photographs appear uncropped, saving Twitter users from having to click and view the images in an external pop-up window.

Similarly, in Tweets that include multiple images, the first image is displayed larger than the rest.

The social media platform's latest update is one of many visual modifications that have been made to the service since this summer including a video tool to share Vines, GIFS and other clips.
