A microbus collided with a truck on the eastern desert road in Minya on Friday, killing 12 people and injuring seven others, al-Watan newspaper reported.
The microbus hit the truck which was parked on the roadside.
According to the police communication, the collision occurred near Sheikh Fadl’s checkpoint in Beni Mazar, east Minya.
The injuries varied between bruises and fractures. The bodies of the dead victims as well as the injured were taken to Beni Mazar General Hospital and prosecutors were notified for investigation.
