Second seed Ali Farag advanced to victory by beating Swiss Nicolas Muller 11-8, 11-7, 11-9 in a 33 minute match.
First seed Mohamed al-Shorbagy qualified after he beat American Todd Harritty 11-6, 11-4, 11-4 in a 27 minute match.
Seventh seed Karim Abdel Gawad defeated Scotland’s Greg Lupon 15-13, 11-8, 11-9 during a 43 minute match, while third seed Tarek Mo’men beat James Wilstrup 11-5, 11-9, 11-9 in a 34 minute match.
Zahed Salem beat Li O from Hong Kong 12-10, 7-11, 11-5, 11-4 in a 51 minute match.
Regarding the female players, third seed Noor al-Tayyeb defeated Debeka Balikal Kardik 11-6, 11-5, 11-9 during a 23 minute match.
Yathrib Adel beat Egyptian sixth seed Nouran Gohar, 15-13, 14-12, 11-13, 6-11, 11-9 in a 76 minute match, while second seed Reneem al-Welily qualified after beating Australian Rachel Grenham 11-4, 11-6, 11-3 in a 20 minute match.
Fifteenth seed Salma Hany beat Egyptian Nadeen Shaheen 5-11, 15-13, 5-11, 11-9, 14-12 in a 52 minute match, while Noor al-Sherbini beat Hong Kong’s Joey Chan 11-6, 11-5, 11-8 in a 24 minute match.
