ISTANBUL, Jan 27 (Reuters) – Turkey’s central bank governor said on Thursday that global supply issues are lifting inflation, and that he expects a current account surplus this year despite drags from gold and energy.
Global demand and high commodity prices are pushing global prices higher, Sahap Kavcioglu said at a quarterly inflation update presentation. Turkish annual inflation soared to 36% last month.
