Menoufiya security services seized a vehicle carrying 25 dead donkeys on Tuesday in the village of Toukh Tanabsha, near the town of Berket al-Sabaa. The donkeys were confiscated and buried.
Mayor Hesham Bayoumy said he received a report from a citizen informing about a truck carrying number of dead donkeys that seemed to have been slaughtered. Police were notified and seized the truck.
The truck, coming from Upper Egypt, was driven by a man from Alexandria accompanied by two others. Two donkeys were found alive, while the other 25 donkeys were dead.
