On Monday, Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and other 14 Muslim Brotherhood figures over charges of killing protesters before presidential palace in December 2012, setting the date to 19 April.
The Monday trial session started off hearing testimonies of prosecution witnesses.
The defendants are accused of murdering and inciting killing of protesters in front of Ettihadiya palace in December 2012 following mass rallies that erupted rejecting the supplementary constitutional declaration issued by Morsy in November 2012, which immunized his decisions against judicial challenges.
The court earlier heard during the non-aired session testimonies of Major General Ahmed Gamal Eddin, former Interior Minister under rule of Morsy, and Major General Ahmed Ibrahim Fayed, head of presidency’s police.
