The Transport Ministry initiated a feasibility study for the establishment of three land ports and logistics areas in the cities of Sadat, Beni Suef and Argeen south of Aswan on the border with Sudan.
Transport Minister Saad al-Geyoushi requested for the study to be completed as soon as possible.
Chairman of the General Authority for Ports and Dry Land Gamal Hegazy told Al-Masry Al-Youm a dry port and a logistics center each will be established in Sadat City, Beni Suef and Argeen.
Hegazy said the feasibility studies would be concluded in the second half of 2016.
