Minister of Transport Ibrahim al-Demairy issued a decision Tuesday exempting citizens who are using railway from fines throughout the day.
Passengers who will be caught on board without a ticket on Tuesday will not be fined, according to the minister's decision.
The ministry said in a statement that the decision comes to facilitate the movement of voters on the second day of the presidential elections.
The Cabinet has announced Tuesday a vacation to facilitate the participation of citizens in the presidential elections after low turnout was reported on Monday, the first day of elections.
