Transport Minister Kamel Wazir underlined the importance of underway projects being implemented in collaboration with Spain.
Wazir made the remarks during a meeting with Spanish Ambassador in Cairo Alvaro Iranzo on means of promoting bilateral cooperation in various transportation domains.
The two sides also reviewed the progress realized so far in ongoing joint projects in the fields of underground metro and railways.
Wazir added that the ministry is implementing a plan of strategic partnerships with major companies managing and operating container stations and international maritime lines.
For his part, Iranzo stressed Spanish companies’ interest in collaborating with the Egyptian side in electric buses domain.
Wazir voiced desire to establish a factory for electric buses to localize this industry in Egypt.
The talks reviewed the latest developments in cooperation with the Spanish company Talgo to manufacture and supply seven luxurious trains.
