Traffic diversions upcoming to complete work on Rod al-Farag corridor

The General Department of Traffic announced traffic diversions would be put in place on the ring road starting Friday until the end of June due to the partial closure of the road until two new corridors are completed, as well as concrete bases on the direction coming from Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road toward the July 26 corridor and Cairo-Alexandria desert road through the ring road.

A source from the department said on Sunday that those coming from Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road toward Giza will be diverted to the current direction of those going from Giza toward Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road. Meanwhile, there will be a new route for those going from Giza to the Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road. The new route will stretch for 250 meters, after then traffic will be diverted to the normal path.

The work will be ongoing throughout the day from February 10 to June 30.

The comes to conclude works by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority to conclude the new Rod al-Farag corridor as well as to construct an intersection with the ring road at Warraq district.
