The Trade and Industry Ministry, represented by the Trade Agreements Sector, held a meeting with a delegation comprising officials at COMESA Reinsurance Company.
The meeting, which was held at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), discussed the possibility of Egypt’s joining to the Yellow Card system and the COMESA Regional Customs Transit Guarantee (RCTG-CARNET) Scheme.
The meeting was held as part of directives issued by Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir to promote cooperation with COMESA.
The COMESA Reinsurance Company primarily aims to promote regional trade and development.
The COMESA Customs Transit Guarantee Scheme, (RCTG CARNET) is a Customs transit regime designed to facilitate the movement of transit goods under customs seals in the Eastern & Southern Africa region.
