Red Sea authorities received a distress signal about a tourist boat sinking on Friday, in Hurghada, while on a cruise towards a diving site.
A total of 16 Egyptian tourists and crew members were rescued without any injuries.
Several boats nearby the accident were able to intervene and rescue the passengers of the tourist boat and transport them to the pier.
Authorities are investigating the cause and circumstances of the incident.
