Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa inaugurated on Tuesday the Egyptian pavilion at the world’s biggest travel show and convention ITB Berlin.
The minister, accompanied by South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Khaled Gamal Abdel Hamid toured the Egyptian pavilion that promoted for some 100 Egyptian hotels and tourist companies.
In statement to MENA, Khaled Ali, an executive director of a hotel chain in the Red Sea Resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh said this year, the Egyptian pavilion in the fair is promulgating for various tourist destinations in Egypt as new tourist areas that German tourists are recommended to visit, including Ain Soukhna which lies in the Suez Governorate on the western shore of the Red Sea’s Gulf of Suez and is situated approximately 120 kilometres east of Cairo.
The Egyptian pavilion also promoted for the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), through multiple promotion campaigns, ads and documentaries.
Germany ranks on top of the list of countries with the largest number of tourists traveling to Egypt in 2022.
