Torrential rains fell on various parts of North Sinai accompanied by a significant decrease in temperature and frost.
Traffic on the main and international roads in North Sinai were affected by the bad weather, as well as trade due to the closure of shops and businesses. Power outages occurred in some neighborhoods for hours.
A task force was formed and headed by secretary of the North Sinai governor, Sameh Eissa, to receive complaints.
Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour ordered the removal of water from streets.
