Thugs prevent ElBaradei from voting in Moqattam

Thugs at Al-Shaima' school in the Moqattam area prevented reform leader Mohammad ElBaradei, who has said he will run for president, from casting his vote in the referendum on constitutional amendments.

ElBaradei appeared awe-struck upon his arrival at the polling station when a group of what appeared to be angry voters, but were reportedly thugs, attacked him with stones and chanted "We don't want him."

Other voters tried to support him and chanted "We want him," but the attack forced ElBaradei to leave.

Military forces imposed a security cordon around ElBaradei to help him leave the area safely.
