Eight people were killed and four others injured on Monday morning near Badrashin, when a speeding mini-bus collided with a pick-up truck.
The collision caused the minibus to flip on its side while the truck driver drove away. He is being pursued by security forces.
Traffic authorities examined the scene, while the dead and the injured were taken to hospitals.
Meanwhile, two other collisions occured on Monday on the Ring Road, near Maadi, completely paralyzing traffic on the vital road.
The first collision took place between four vehicles in the direction leading to Moqattam, resulting in the injury of four people.
The other collision took place in the other direction between two vehicles, claiming the life of a man and injurying another.
