Security sources said Sunday morning that three butane gas cylinders in Mostafa Mahmoud Square caused a blast around 1 am.
Major General Mohamed al-Sharqawy, Director of Giza General Department for Investigation, denied the blast was caused by a bomb.
The cylinders belonged to a kiosk owner in Mostafa Mahmoud Square. One civilian who was using the cylinder to prepare tea was slightly injured, Sharqawy mentioned.
