The Public Prosecution office in the Fifth Settlement, Cairo, ordered on Sunday the release of three female students accused of assaulting another student at an international school, after paying a bail of LE 50,000 pounds for each suspect.
The decision came after completing investigations regarding the incident, which began with a verbal altercation that devolved into assault on a student named Karma.
The Fifth Settlement Police Department received a report on Wednesday, January 15, from a person stating that his daughter, a student at an international school, had been assaulted by her colleagues.
Informed sources confirmed that the suspects had come to the Fifth Settlement Police Department to complete the release procedures immediately after paying the required bail.
At the same time, the prosecution will still complete the remaining investigations into the incident to determine its full details and take the necessary legal measures.
According to the medical report, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Masry Al-Youm, Karma suffered a fracture in the nasal bones. She required a surgical operation in a private hospital to reduce the fracture and install an external stent.
