Three people from one family, including an infant, were killed, and eight others were injured in an accident involving a private car and a bus, on Ras Gharib Road in the direction heading to the Red Sea Governorate.
The two vehicles caught fire and were completely burned.
Major General Osama Abdel Azim, head of Minya Security Directorate, received a notification from the emergency police of an accident.
The three dead people are a doctor and his wife, a pharmacist, and their baby.
The injured were transferred to Minya General Hospitals, the Health Insurance Hospital, while the three bodies were kept at the morgue under the Public Prosecution’s disposal.
Minya Governor Osama al-Qady visited the injured at the two hospitals where he was reassured about the stability of their condition.
The injuries varied between bruises and abrasions on the body, burns and fractures.
