Three Egyptian businessmen missing in Syria

Three Egyptian businessmen went missing Tuesday morning on their way to Damascus International Airport before their flight back to Cairo.

The Egyptian Embassy in Damascus called the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Syria on Wednesday, to discuss the whereabouts of the men.

The embassy said Syrian authorities are responsible for searching for the missing Egyptians.

The spokesperson for Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amr Roshdy, appealed to Egyptian citizens to be very careful while traveling to Syria and cautioned potential travelers about the lack of security and ongoing violence there.
