Third metro line to operate at full capacity on Wednesday

The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operations announced that the third metro line would operate at full capacity on Wednesday, following a three-day closure caused by a collision in Abbaseya Station on Sunday.
 
The company spokesperson, Ahmed Abdel Hadi said the remains of the collision have been removed and a test run for the metro line was being conducted in preparation for bringing it back to service in a few hours. 
 
The committee formed by the transport minister continues to investigate the collision and will submit the findings to the prosecutor.
 
A preliminary report revealed that the total losses amounted to about LE30 million because of the two damaged cars, in addition to a loss in revenues that amounted to about LE600,000, as the average number of passengers reaches 200,000 people per day.
