Temperatures to increase on Sunday, Cairo 22C

A gradual increase in temperatures is expected on Sunday on most parts of Egypt.

Meteorologists predict mild weather in the northern coasts, with warmer temperatures on Lower Egypt and Cairo until northern Upper Egypt, hotter weather on southern Upper Egypt during daylight hours and growing colder on all parts of the country by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 21C in Alexandria, 22C in Cairo, 28C in Qena, 29C in Luxor, and 30C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning in northern parts of the country until northern Upper Egypt, and will be dense in some areas.

Low and medium-level clouds are expected in the northern parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the western coasts.

Winds are expected to be mostly northeasterly and moderate, active on the western parts and the Mediterranean Sea, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with southeasterly surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters in height with northeasterly surface winds.
