Meteorologists expect on Thursday cold weather along the north coast and warmer weather in the rest of the country during daylight hours, with colder temperatures expected at night.
Low and medium level cloud cover is predicted for the north, north Upper Egypt, and Sinai, accompanied by thunderstorms.
Winds will mostly be northwesterly, accompanied by dust storms in most areas. They will be active in the Red and Mediterranean seas as well as the Gulf of Suez, disrupting maritime navigation.
Waves in the Mediterranean will be rough and range between 3 to 4 meters with northwesterly surface winds. Waves in the Red Sea will be milder and range between 2.5 to 3 meters with southeasterly surface winds.
Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 22C in Cairo, 19C in Alexandria, 27C in Qena, 28C in Luxor, and 30C in Aswan.
