Temperatures to drop across Egypt on Wednesday, growing very cold at night

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a continued drop in temperatures, with Wednesday expected to be cold to very cold at night and in the early morning, and slightly warm during the day across most of the country.

There will be intermittent chances of light rainfall in parts of the northern coast and northern Lower Egypt, and a very slight 20 percent chance of light rain overnight in parts of southern Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo.

Wind activity is expected intermittently in parts of the northwestern coast.

Weather maps warn of fog formation from four am to nine am in parts of northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt, which may be occasionally be dense on some roads.

 

Expected temperatures for Wednesday:

  • Matrouh: 19C
  • Alexandria: 20C
  • Cairo: 21C
  • Hurghada: 23C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh, Luxor and Aswan: 25C
