Temperatures rising again, peak of the heat wave in the middle of the week

Manar Ghanem, a member of the Information Center of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, said that Friday’s weather witnesses a slight increase in temperatures during the daytime, by one to two degrees in most northern governorates.

Ghanem explained that the rise in temperatures is due to the influence of the seasonal Indian Low, which covers a large area of the Arabian Peninsula and parts of Asia, Europe and Africa, carrying masses of hot air that lose some of their heat once they pass over the Mediterranean Sea.

However, it is predicted to carry large amounts of humidity and water vapor, which makes us feel the rise in temperatures more.

Peak of temperature rise in Egypt

The member of the Information Center of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority pointed out that the temperatures are higher than their normal rates for this time of year by one to two degrees.

She noted that it is expected that temperatures will continue to rise throughout the next week, especially in the middle of the week when the peak of the rise is expected, with highs in Greater Cairo ranging between 39 and 40 degrees Celsius and very hot weather prevailing in most governorates due to the continued influence of the seasonal Indian Low.
