Temperatures in Egypt remain consistent with the normal expectations during this time of the year, EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Monday, that temperatures will remain around their normal expected rates during this time of the year in Egypt.

EMA said that Greater Cairo is expected to reach temperatures during this week: ranging from 34C to 35C.

This comes at a time when the heat wave continues to dominate Europe, where the surface temperature of the earth reached new heights and reached its peak the day before Saturday, and reached 49C over southeastern France and northeastern Spain.

The surface temperature of the Earth exceeded 50C over Italy, and the heat wave began to extend to Eastern Europe, and expected to reach high temperatures.

Hot weather is expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt on Monday, hot on the northern coasts, very hot in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, moderate at night in all parts of the country.

The EMA stated that Sunday witnesses wind activity, sometimes in the evening, on separate areas throughout the country, and mist in the morning on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and Suez Canal cities.

As for the temperatures, on Monday: Cairo 34C, Alexandria 29C, Matrouh 28C, Sohag 38C, Qena 41C, and Aswan 42C.
