Temperatures across Egypt to drop, yet hot weather continues

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects temperatures across the country to drop on Tuesday, with hot weather to still remain.

Hot weather will persist during the day over most parts of the country including the northern coasts, growing very hot over South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt and falling to moderate at night and hot over South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures on Tuesday will drop by two to three degrees from north of the country to northern Upper Egypt, the EMA said.

The authority also warned of possible light rainfall, with possible thunder, in various areas of South Sinai and the Red Sea mountain ranges.

Winds will sometimes be active in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, the northern coasts, and northern and southern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.

 

Expected temperatures on Tuesday:

  • Northwestern coasts: 25C.
  • Northeastern coasts: 27C.
  • Suez Canal cities: 31C.
  • Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt: 32C
  • Northern Upper Egypt: 34C.
  • South Sinai: 38C.
  • Southern Upper Egypt: 43C.
