The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a drop in temperatures ranging from five to six degrees on Tuesday, with intermittent wind activity across most of the country.
Cold weather is expected at night and in the early morning, with warm weather expected during the day across most of the country, growing hotter in Upper Egypt.
The EMA added that Tuesday’s weather will feature active winds that may stir up sand and dust in exposed areas of Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and the Red Sea Governorate.
These winds may reduce horizontal visibility to less than 1000 meters in parts of the northwestern coast, the Western Desert, and northern and southern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.
Light rains may fall in scattered and random areas of Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the northern coast, Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, the Western Desert, Sinai and Upper Egypt.
Expected temperatures for Tuesday:
- Matrouh: 22C
- Alexandria: 23C
- Cairo: 24C
- Hurghada: 27C
- Sharm El-Sheikh, Luxor: 28C
- Aswan: 33C
